The presentations given by Karen, Alan, Roy and Andrew are now available from this blog.
There is a page called “Speak to Dinah” where you can communicate important points to Dinah.
Those EIUG members who did not attend the day at Warwick can look at the presentations and may also leave comments for Dinah.
The EIUG WebPAC Pro day’s programme and list of participants has been archived on the ‘About’ page.
Cheers,
Graeme

I hope the day goes well – I am sure it will.
I have help for Catherine’s comment about ie display
In the current example set there is a styles_ie.css but it is missing a vital set of 18 lines which were present in the previous example set (it is going to be corrected in the next example set but I do not believe it has been released yet.)
I have emailed a file with those lines in place to Graeme at Warwick- it will need renaming. Please share it with anyone who needs it.
Regards
Debbie Turner

At Warwick we use the following web tools to help us.
- Dreamweaver 8 – web page and css editing, ftp.
- Firefox add ons – Web developer and Aardvark.
- Cute FTP 7 – alternative ftp
- Top Style Pro 3 – css editing
- Google Analytics – catalogue web page statistics
- Pixie – fast and tiny colour picker
If any of the EIUG WebPAC Pro day participants would like to see any of these tools demonstrated on the day I could do this informally during lunchtime (1-2) or after the meeting (4-5.30).

Relayed from Betsy Graham (Email to GLW on 9th Jan 2007),
Dartmouth and Bowling Green are testing improvements to the Right Result sorting functionality. The Link+ INN-Reach system in California is as well. We felt that it was too hard, and not at all intuitive, to get out of the relevance sort and back into sorting by date or title. Thus, we’ve done a series of modifications to improve the way this new functionality works. I expect to announce the availability of this software in a few weeks. We’re waiting for the Release 2006 maintenance bundle 1.2 to become generally available and will announce and make available this special bundle right after that. We’ll install the changes at every WebPAC Pro site as quickly as we can. I see that your library has not moved to WebPAC Pro yet. If you wait until the special software bundle is announced, when you “go Pro” you will get the software you see at Dartmouth.
Please feel free to let me know your thoughts on this. RightResult relevance ranking is not only an evolving algorithm, but will evolve in these related functional ways as well so I am very interested to hear what people would like to see next.
My regards,
Betsy Graham
